maybe but you think thers only 387 chalenger 2s, thats just britain, what about Oman and Jordan. they have challengers and in significant numbers. with better armour then the abrams Id climb into aa challenger any day.

This is why I love the British. The 105mm NATO gun was also their idea, and it kicked butt in its time too, and in some tanks that still have it it still does!!! Those Chieftains Israel bought were enough to make any Arab brown his 13 dollar pants and run!! hahahahahahahah! That's why the first Abrams tanks (the m1a1) had these guns and in Iraq these could still punch through any armor in that time

Dont hate on the challenger. It got a bad name at the start, but so did many weapon systems that later proved to be awesome. Im an American and I say the Challenger 2 is amazing, especially in the right hands. Some British Hussar or Dragoon unit in Iraq equipped with these suffered no losses, and they were outnumbered and in a sector where British tankkilling aircraft werent pounding the daylight out of themlike in the US sectors. Challengers are just about as good as Abrams tanks WE LUV U UK!!!

Not one Challenger 2 has ever been lost in battle. The first Challenger performed poorly in tests, but then in Gulf#1 it got the longest ever kill. Now improved the Challenger 2 in Gulf#2 never suffered a single loss, one was stuck in sand in Iraq, and for over 24 hours the Iraqis tried to blow it up with RPGs and took out all the sites, but did it get destroyed? No! Then it was back in action the next day once repaired, the most advanced armour in the world is on that beast, Dorchester.

2 challengers have been damaged but were back in action within 5 hours, a challenger 2 has never been destroyed.
