Hey Andromaches! I know there's some good talent, I've played with some seriously talented, eclectic players (I on the other hand, profoundly average!) But the MTVification of music (i.e. Material Tramp, Brittney, Janet Jackson et al) has ensured that if women can't perform in dental floss they're somehow lacking & don't get pushed. Inocgnito prizing actual talent over centerfold bods puts them into a class of their own. There's talent out there, but if it doesn't look right it doesn't go far.

Incognito often uses American singers like Maysa Leak (who's singing this song), and Jocelyn Brown who are considered unmarketable in the U.S. Too heavy, too dark, or just not pretty enough to have big solo careers. It's really a shame. We've still got great soulful singers but they're relegated to session and background singers.

Thanks so much for posting this. My favorite group for the last 20 years. Ironic that here in the USA we spawned soul and now we produce beat-box drivel while UK is producing this kind of sheer brilliance. Timeless... Subtle, tight instrumentation, beautiful melodies, intelligent lyrics. God smiles when he hears this joyful noise!Anyone know if they EVER tour the States??? I'd pay 3 hundred bucks to catch them!
