For those of us over 50, how about "Big Bad John" by Jimmy Dean, or "Old Rivers" by Walter Brennan, or even further back "Deck of Cards" by Tex Ritter. if Rap is just talking to backgroungd music then these have legitimate reasons to be earlier versions of Rap. (Redneck Rap?)
