He still had his fingers,the tendons in his two little fingers were shrunken in a caravan fire while saving his young wife after the wax flowers she sold accidently went ablaze.The accident would leave those two fingers crippled,but he kept playing,still utilizing the two fingers with his middle and pointer positioning them where needed.

Yes and love them all. Stephane, Django, and Dan. Was never fortunate enough see Stephane or Django in person. But Mr. Hicks I try to catch whenever he's in the Philadelphia region for years

Rick, this piece has a melancholy flavor, but there are also many pieces by Django that arefeverishly upbeat, some happy, some aggressive, some even angry, some with bravado, some a combination of these, and many are explosive at some point(s) as well, but the common denominator in all his music no matter how fast he was playing, was beauty, something I haven't heard anyone else achieve,and as a guitarist myself I listen to them from all genres.
