It's from the Hard Rain TV show. Wikipedia Hard Rain for info. It exists on DVD somewhere probably, but it's not for sale in the US as far as I know.

Nope, this is from 1976; the same year The Band broke up. I do believe The Band only recorded some demos (The Basement Tapes) and played some concerts with Dylan during the mid sixties.The backing band on here I guess is The Rolling Thunder Revue. This band had a lot of big names in it like Joan Baez, T-Bone Brunett, Mick Ronson and Roger McGuinn. I think the line-up varied quite a bit though, so I can't say if any of these are playing on this recording.This is an amazing song by the way |
