Well I think in some parts I think she could work on the timing of her breathing. But a lot of it does come down to lunch capacity and practicing a lot. mcFerrin has been doing this for so long and because of that, he is able to sing a single note for long periods of time. I am sure if she took a breath, she too could sing a long time. But breathing in is not just when possible, there are times when you should and should hold out.

i think it's not her not knowing how to breathe properly, it's just the stress.

Some of the notes Ms. Vitale does need to work on. I think the best thing she could do is actually take up swimming and do it every day. The thing about swimming is that it can help your singing. It helps a lot with how long you can sing a single note, how much air you are able to keep in. I have heard how long McFerrin can sing a single note and it is unreal how long it goes for. Most people I know would long be out of breath. I was impressed and she does have a wonderful voice.
