Someone is in my Grandmother's album collection because all I need to find now is "Saturday Night Fish Fry" and "Preacher and the Bear".

I really enjoyed this, even though there were so many things going on on-stage at the same time?!? I feel like I missed quite a bit of what happened there??? Makes me wish I were there...

Ha Ha! Thanks for this. I sing this all the time at work and no one admits that they ever heard it before. Okay, the youngsters I understand, but even co-workers my own age. Hillarious!

Lanier2..I feel you..u are exactly right, Joe Tex was one of the biggest rappers ever, along with Rudy Ray Moore, James Brown, Louis Jordan, etc The Mystical comparison has been going on for years..lol I would not be surprised of he did emulate his style. Funk, Soul Hip Hop, Rap Music etc FRANKIE CROCKER played it ALL.. I remember when this very record dropped..good memories.I am die hard JB fan...(the man is cold blooded..) but Mr.Tex gave him a run for his money in his own right. |
