And/Another part of response this time to Phrikety/ I have to tell You that its not so bad in case of respect. During my stay in England I met 3 old people in different occasions who either new polish pilots, polish soldiers or in one case even worked with polish resistance during the war and received polish citation for that. Their opinions made me very proud. Thats really enough about history, just to be remembered while focusing on every day life, Thanks

during the last war. Some politicians, like in every country are trying to use history to win political support. Usually they misinterpret delicate matters to win their emotions. Every nation faces such problem with its history. Most of Poles dont care or know that Allies couldnt do anything to stop Red Army overwhelming Poland and that there was no way for Poles to be independent at the time. Sad fate thats true, but there is no one to blame except maybe Nazis and German people who chose them

By looking at history of every nation, You can learn interesting, unique examples and its sad to say that in Polands case for last 200 years our main cause was fighting for freedom, honor, justice for itself. It is polish responsibility however to protect that memory in a sensible, reasonable way. There is a minority of people in Poland who claim that we were traded for others and base their political view on it. Its a minority however and its existence is a consequence of what happened

I now study International Relations, come from mix Polish German Croatian family and I have lots of views on history to share with. Usually professional historians never respond to people who are only interested in shouting bullshits but I think its a wrong approach because history is taught for people, not for scientists themselves. Occasionally, I have my breaking points when looking at far too much miserable stupidity and that was the one.

Now SOrry to everyone for another long and emotional response to another imbecile prick here. Luckily this subject is visited by enough number of intelligent people, with serious questions or comments. But I just can stand people boiling with stereotypes and having fun with spitting on someones flag. I happen to deal with history on a Uni basis. I see people making efforts to build dialogue, writing books and it all goes for nothing when imbeciles at their homes are still taught to hate
