If a computer fails you dont get alternate law, ELAC 2 will pass over to ELAC 1.There is no loss of normal law after a single failure. The transfer from normal to alternate laws is automaticand depends on the number and nature of failures.

if a computer fails, you get alternate law, very similar to normal, if Flight controls fail you get Direct law, allowing control of trim and the rudders, have fun landing an airplane with that.... the 737 relies on No computers or hydraulics, they fail the airplane flys like normal + some elbow grease
stickyjeans69 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
and you're wrong, the roll rate is always limited to 15*/s. in all stages of flight, and side stick deflection works proportionately to that.the Airbus features3 ELAC and2 SEC Computersit also features under normal lawGround modeFlight ModeFlare ModeLoad Factor limitsPitch Attitude protectionAngle of Attack Protectionand High speed protectionthose are for pitchfor Roll you haveNormal Law and Bank angle Protection.the airplane is normal law except failure |
