I picked up some campanula and calendula yesterday to add to my patio "garden". Thanks for your advice.

Wonderful! All I know to grow is some tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers and peas on my apt balcony. And most of those are either dying or infested with aphids. sigh. The greens you talk about here sound like something ideal to grow. I'll have to look into them.Thanks again.

Given the choice surely washing off the leaves of plants is a good idea as you never know whether a bird or dog ,insect or in this case a human has left their mark.
