You are so right about that A string. This is how I would love to play guitar more than any other track. Shame on whoever pulled down that 9 minute solo from 1981 with the bottom E tuned down to A. I love that playing so much.

I always wondered if this song was once called "A Melody", because the A string is driven with a tight rhythm (drives me nuts, love it) underneath it all, Tnx for the upload. It's a favorite. Looks like the lovely, lively Katia at the piano.

John left the US because the corporate business was ruining his art. Belo Horizonte, his first album after moving to France is a gem! One melody on the album used a prophet 5 programmed by herbie hancock.
