Hi I'm from Mexico if you want to eat some peyotes you need to come to Real de Catorce here in San Luis Potosi, there's a native group called Huicholes who every year trip around 500 miles to reach and "hunt" this little plant in a valley called Wirikuta near to Real de Catorce.

I understand what you're saying (as I am a honky with an open mind, learning to speak from my heart) but aren't your views also ethnocentric? You're making as big of a generalization as you claim all of "us" do. I get what you're saying, but two wrongs don't make a right. I do, however, appreciate your comments above (the small being larger than anything we can conceive). Any advice on how we stop those with a hole in their soul from destroying our planet? Peace, doctor.

Im part indian muscogee creek nation, here in tulsa oklahoma and ive always wanted to attend a peyote ceremony because i hear it gives you some really great insight to attend one, but to have to sit for like 12 hours or so sounds kinda rough, but worth it, been needing some spiritual enlighentment for awhile

Last comment, but I just want everyone to know that these ways are not to ever be marginalized or put down! You cannot be ignorant and ever expect to know anything about this! Learn to know when you are being ignorant! If you don't know, just expect to say ignorant things! Just don't say anything unless you know for sure! I know white people think that we are pagan drug-crazed Indians for practicing this religion. But just know that it's not like that! You are so wrong if you think that!

If you ever tripped balls on peyote, you did not have the medicines respect! It did not work properly on your humble human brain! You are supposed to respect this ancient and powerful medicine! It is not about worshiping or venerating this medicine! It is supposed to be used so you can worship the big guy up there himself! He created this specifically for humans to use in the most awesome ways! It does not cause any type of neurological damage that all of these other drugs do!

I just want everyone to know that no matter what you are: black, white, native, asian, aboriginal, pygmie, hispanic, innuit, or whatever! Excuse me if I missed your race, but everyone just needs to know that these are very powerful and ancient ways! If you are or aren't religious, peyote is not a toy! It is not some false religion! It is not about getting high! It predates every major religion! Even though it's small, it's bigger than what you may ever even try to conceive! |
