If hitler was patient. Bismarck, Tirpitz, Prinz Eugen, Blucher, Scharnhorst and Gneisenau roaming the Atlantic. That would give the Royal Navy something to worry about!

Great tune. Sometimes for fun I'll sing this when I go out and do karaoke and from according to what people have often told me, I sound quite similar to the original if not exact. But for me its hard to compare myself to a legend such as Johnny Horton.

just to clear something up the swordfish was designed in 1936 the same year as Bismarck it was not a state secret,the aa guns on Bismarck were simply not that good 2 of the 3 types carried were aimed by mk1 eyeball,these guns were designed to take down biplanes the fly to slow to be hit is total bollocks.

Indeed the mightiest battle ship of our hearts. Sad it was used for such a cruel thing and sad that it was sunk. I would love to see this really great ship in museum.
