Sin embargo, el núcleo principal de la cultura helénica se concentrará en la Grecia continental, en la que pueden distinguirse tres grandes regiones: la Septentrional, terminada al sur en una lÃnea que une el golfo de Ambracia con las Termóplias; la Central, hasta el istmo de Corinto, y la Meridional, la penÃnsula del Peloponeso. La región Septentrional, cuyo lÃmite superior no puede establecerse con exactitud, abarca regiones como Iliria, Macedonia, Epiro y Tesalia. Éstas no fueron consideradas por los antiguos como propiamente griegas, siendo tardÃa su intervención en la historia del paÃs. La Grecia Central comprende regiones como la Acarnania, la Etolia, la Fócida, Beocia y el Atica, donde se encuentra la inmortal Atenas. Por último, en el Peloponeso pueden distinguirse varias regiones, como la Argólida, la Lacionia, la Mesenia, la Arcadia, la Elida y la Acaya. Bañada por los mares Adriático, de Creta y Egeo, frente a las costas griegas se sitúan numerosÃsimas islas, que tendrán un papel fundamental en su historia. Las más importantes son Corfú, Cefalonia, Itaca o Zante, frente a la costa occidental; Citera, Salamina y Eubea. Esparcidas por el Egeo hallamos a Creta, las CÃcladas, Rodas, Samos, QuÃos, Lesbos, Samotracia y asà hasta un largo etcétera.

Let it be 1944 the year when our history started, but do you know that it ended at 1913??? The independance of this Macedonia means reborn of the Macedonia which barely ended dead, so don't laugh at it, it is YOU WHO GOT THE BIGGEST PART of Macedonia. And about the Alexander that is being speaked a lot, he is BORN IN PELA, the capital of MACEDONIA which now is at the real hands, THE COUNTRY OF MACEDONIA-not Greek, not Bulgarian or anybody else.

In fact, that's the most beautiful part of Greece, but it not Greek. Oh god, what would King Samoil had to say about this, his territory is divided to the Greeks, Albanians and Bulgarians. He is dead, but the Slavs who conquered the whole Macedonia are still here. Greece doesn't know the territory of Macedonia before the 1913.
