incorrect, dyno test estimate 500bhp, and it was a standard gt-r. Handtimed by spectators, the v-spec proto which has "550hp" as nissan claims and is lighter did it in roughly 7:25. long time ago. The team still is working on it. the 7:29 was a normal gtr. But in all honesty, if with even a 121 extra hp and so much less weight it didnt manage anything special. Yes it doesnt have awd, but cmon. Its so much lighter. and more powerful and has fatter tires.

the car used was a test car for the v-spec that had 595 horse power and weighed less than the stock gtr not to mention it should handle better since it has the power of awd, so yeah "big achievement duh!! lol
