The conductor is Nikolaus Harnoncourt. I bet the orchestra is his Musicus Concentus Wien, since that gray hair lady violinist looks like his wife, Alice.

No, this is a cantata composed by Haydn. Ariadna auf Naxos is another opera, and yes, it was composed by RICHARD Strauss.
