yea! Intel core 2 quad!! My favorite - Intel core 2 quad extreme mobile, that's right "mobile" you know what that means. Although the new I7 is pretty cool too.

Windows Aero is part of Windows Vista; it's an optional graphical interface for it, making the OS look more flashy and adds more "eye candy". What you just mentioned, like Windows Vista Basic, is the "standard" interface for PCs lacking the necessary hardware to run Aero. Currently there are, Basic, Aero, Standard and Windows Vista Classic.

i think it's just amazing seeing how it has progressed.. just imagine in even just 5 years or so we'll be looking back at core 2 duo processors and laughing about how outdated it is

wow thats nerdish, i imagine that would mean a very slow computer, but what the heck is windows aero? isnt it vista, xp, 2000, or is windows aero basic?

core i7 is a nice jump up but not a revolution. the next step for intel (according to them anyway) is multi-core processors. it'll change everything. 16 cores all at around 1.5GHz
