It is the restructoring of the Soviet economy. Basically Gorbachov used perestrioka thinking it wuz for the better of the Soviet Union but in reality just fucked things up.

My friend my parents and grandparents as well have lived the the Soviet Union as well however they lived in Armenia. You probably heard of that country knowing ur russian/serbian. And the economy during Soviet times wuz much better for the ex Soviet countries than it is now. I mean the only decent country or rich country u can say is Russia. Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Kazakhstan and all the stans arnt doing as well
