It's an interesting exercise to have 3 artists with different styles and accompaniment tackle the same song to see which is the "best". I think Albert West sung it fine, but I have a real problem with the backing (both the percussion irritates and the backing singers annoy too in this version) and that might have lost him the chance of winning. BTW, Debbie's version is far too "serious and strident" for what's supposed to be a fun song and I can see why Teach-In won through in the end.

ransmyr, if you think this is cheap then wait to you see the programmes we have had in the UK over the past 15 years or so. The 1975 NSF is lavish and spectacular by comparison. But of course Sweden has the best selection. I am going to propose that whichever song is second in the MF gets to represent the UK next year in Lisbon.

I am glad Teach In won, but its interesting to see how the finals were held. In Sweden we nowadays have a HUGE festival once a week for a month - in NL they are chep and are only going to choose a song for a singern noone has ever heard of... bad idea! and... boring!
