Well said. I spent years in the US and met some great people and they're far from being a nation of mindless Bible Bashers. Saying that, the knee jerk reaction to political criticism (among some, not all) as 'anti-American' is a sad portrayal of patriotic mind-washing as insidious and alarming as its religious counterpart. More importantly, it's a tool used to beat Americans to stop them being critical about things they should be critical about.

Atheists need to cease clutching at straws and (in some cases) seeking to invent ways of wounding and discrediting religious figures, since such attempts do not equate with the facts when dissected and debated amongst more theologically, historically and culturally educated persons. The ability to debate here is limited due to the allowance of no more than 500 characters per comment. But it's not a problem...I'll just continue using my channel to eat your lunch.

America is not a democracy. It is tyranny, corruption, slavery, coast-to-coast debt with a racist dressing and mass murder on the side. And maybe for dessert the loving government of the USA will provide you with a full bowl of lies and religious conviction.Politicians are put there to give you the illusion you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice. Whoever you vote for, whoever gets assassinated, however many people are bribed, America will turn out the same way.

It is a sad day in the USA when the two major candidates for president must go to a church for a debate. I doubt McCann & Obama believe all this religious nonsense, but they feel they must pander to white & black xtians to get elected.
