Thing is, they're just going to kill the anime. People being first exposed to an anime through its live-action movie will never grasp the importance and meaningful message of the original anime. It'll be like, "Neh, it's just a kids movie," or, "Whatever, it's just another sci-fi movie".I can imagine them turning Ghost in the Shell into some Bionic-woman like movie. Something is just lost when they try to turn the anime into a movie. It's just never the same.

cowboy bebop is going to be a movie 2by the guy who produced the Matrix and I am legend. That takes care of the special effects but what I'm scared for is casting
