the mayday was created to financially help the east german radio station DT64. dt64 was the first radio station that played techno in germany(i think, i can only speak for the eastern part). sadly the station was closed in march (if i recall corectly) 1991. the crew went to the sputnik and radio fritz.but the mayday call for this back then still young music was a big success....forgive my bad english, hope you get my message;)
