I do yacht racing on a JOD 35 and I think sailing is a great sport. Once we did Ramsgate Newport with a force 8 wind.... It was sporty

good videobut the each sequence is much too short in order to enjoy it : I've got to pause too many times to understand the action.But then, imagine what it is to be in one of these situations at least force 8 (that's about 40 knots) or more when you're sailing an ordinary 34 footer with just a crew of 3 !...But THE MUSIC SUCKS : if sailing is associated with this kind of heavy stuff, count me out.

Vanillaicecream, you are so stupid, ocean racing isn't somthing you can just do in a gap year, it takes a couple of years to get to major league ocean racing, laser sailing doesn't count as expirience either.

i do ocean racin, i do the sydney-hobart, sydney-southport and hamilton island and so from expirience i would say they would be going at about 18-20 knots with 40 knots blowing, but don't get me wrong, that is still very fast, fun and dangerous
