This is EASILY the definitive version of this song. I've watched the other renditions of this song by other opera singers and in the comments of each one, more than one person has typed that this version is the best. He's crisp in his delivery and shows an amazing ability to go from countertenor to alto towards the end of the song with no fade or loss. Powerful tone and emotion make this audio perfection.Truly a talent lost.

yeah yeah he did, just don´t know if he really completed the school or was only some time studying, btw for my untrained ears it sounds very "classical", did you watch the interpretation of Matteo ? Maybe this is nearerto what is considered to be "classical"

Oh I've never heard that, maybe he did, idk. I just mean he doesn't sing a classical style. It wouldn't surprise me if he was trained classically.

I have posted here before, but can't watch this video without further sharing of thoughts. This man was so incredible, even on the tinny, ill-suited video technology available and used to record him. This man was a master of voice, this man stood and looked out to us with mysterious demeanor. I wish I could have seen and heard this man. My extreme, sorrowful loss.
