This is probably during the I'm-high-off-my-fucking-tits era. He looks pretty tweaked. Generally, Bobby-D's music is soaked in meaning and seriousness. Hurricane, Balled of a Thin Man. He also write some awesome breakup tunes. "Most Likely You Go Your Way And I Go Mine" is one of my faves.
