The last comment about the current crop of generals not changing rings true. They moved the capital to a secret location, they seem totally paranoid and willing to hold out for the long haul. I hope the commentator is also right about others in the power hierarchy thinking different, so the regime will crumble soon in the face of massive popular discontent.

Just as China did nothing to help in Pakistan until their own assets were threatened, I feel a boycott of the Olympics is one way to put pressure on one of the major backers of Burma's military regime. |
