love the band,love tony wilson.I think,that sayin' 'we're sorry for ian's death' is completely irreasonable.He would killed himself anyway. I can't imagine joy division after the 1980..and i think,that death were the best thing,that he could passed..I mean,come on,those drugs,which he was taken was so,so ineffective..poor guy;(

Seem to remember that the band were pissed off that the 'special effects' had been put on the video. Not something they originally agreed too.

The Sex Pistols also had shite performances, but they are idolised and rightly so. It's all about growing up in that era and conmbined with nostalgia. Don't forget Ian never saw the Hacienda or New Order, or any other band for that matter, and if it wasn't for Joy Division, there wouldn't have been Factory Records...
